EDRA throws weight behind China’s top hardware event

Prospective exhibitors of the China International Hardware Show (CIHS) in Shanghai have one more reason to participate at the event as organizers welcome the endorsement of the authoritative European DIY Retail Association (EDRA).

This endorsement reportedly signifies a major leap in recognition by a prominent worldwide industry body and is expected to inject fresh interest from more overseas visitors.

"EDRA is very happy to include the China International Hardware Show as one of EDRA`s ‘Recommended Trade Fairs’.  Members from EDRA have recommended this show as the one to visit in China, as it is the only trade fair to offer an almost exclusively wide range of products that can be sold in home improvement centers,” said the association’s General Secretary, John W. Herbert.

EDRA is an international organization representing top home improvement retailers across the globe through networking, communication and lobbying. Its members represent 90 home center companies and operate in 50 countries worldwide. EDRA representatives will be present at the trade show, hold a dinner for its members, and organize a store tour during CIHS.

CIHS is the world’s second largest and China’s largest hardware and DIY show. In 2010, the event featured 2,300 companies from 19 countries and regions, occupying over 100,000sqm of floor space and attracted over 35,000 trade visitors from 85 countries.

The next CIHS will be staged from September 21-23, 2011 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC), in China.
